Healing begins when judgement ends.

At Fresh Coast Alliance, we believe the Church has a vital role to play in supporting individuals and families impacted by addiction. Recovery ministry is an opportunity to live out the Gospel—loving our neighbors, extending grace, and creating safe spaces for healing.

Your faith community can make a difference. Here are some next steps to engage in recovery ministry and become a Recovery-Friendly Church:

1. Host a Recovery Group

Open your doors to recovery meetings such as AA, NA, or Celebrate Recovery. Providing a consistent, welcoming space shows that your church is a safe haven for those seeking support.

2. Equip Your Church With Narcan

Add Narcan to your First Aid kit and display a “We have faith and Narcan” window cling on your front door. This simple step can save lives and sends a clear message: your church is a place of both faith and practical care.

3. Support Local Recovery Organizations

Partner with and support organizations in your community that are already serving individuals in recovery. Together, we can strengthen the network of hope and resources available.

4. Invite Fresh Coast to Speak

We would love the opportunity to share with your congregation about recovery, reentry, and the role the church can play. Stories of transformation inspire faith and help foster a culture of grace and second chances.

Let’s love our neighbors well, and welcome them with open arms.
